Gas Sensing

Gas Sensing

Learn More
Our gas sensors are accurate, inexpensive, and automatic.
These sensors can be deployed across a target area to pinpoint gas leaks out of pipes, tanks, and other enclosed assets.
Example Client: Patrick Space Force Base

How Gas Sensing Works

Gas detectors can locate tiny leaks in pipes, roofing materials, and manifolds with very high sensitivity. They are able to detect miniscule defects before they propagate into potentially catastrophic problems. Our NDT tool manipulators can move helium sensing heads along large and high-up objects and record findings colocated with mapping data to give a high resolution map of leaks in complex plumbing networks. Adding Helium to Non-Gaseous Targets

Helium can safely be added to water, sewage, oil, and other liquid materials. Because helium is inert, non-toxic, and lightweight, it will permeate through liquids and escape wherever there are leaks. Our gas sensors will then locate helium escape points which will also be where the liquid leaks are.

Key Features

Lightweight Design

Weighing just 2.6 kg, including the battery, the sensor is highly portable.

Rapid Startup

Fully automatic startup with readiness for testing in under three minutes.

Selective Detection

Exceptional selectivity for helium ensures accurate readings, disregarding other gasses.

Adjustable Sensitivity

The sensor's sensitivity to helium can be modified to optimize cost / helium consumption.

Power Flexibility

Operable via battery power or line voltage.

Remote Operation

Can be operated from a distance using hardline communication to reach difficult spaces.

Modular Design

Easily swapped with other aRC instruments like radar scanning, ultrasound, and infrared.

Attritable.Accurate.Autonomous.
These systems are small and light, easily placed around a target area without inconveniencing operations. Automatic alarms can be raised when gas is detected.
